The Sarcastic Squad is a comedy variety show featuring the best of Chicago stand-up, sketch and audience improv games.
Monday June 4th brings you some Summer Loving with host Matteo Lane (Queer Comedy at Zanies,) featuring stand-up from Natalie Jose (Crown Comedy) and headliner Megan Gailey (Your Funniest Friends,) the premiere of The Dyketionary from Casey Larwood, Second Hand News from Mark Nabong with a special Zombie report from Adam Guerino, and the new sketch segment Love Is Funny with Ali Clayton (Just for Laughs,) and Mckenzie Morell (Second City) where one lucky audience volunteer gets to choose between two sketch characters who gets to take them on a date.
Presented by OutLoud Chicago a production effort to bring queer entertainment to mainstream venues. ‘Squad features straight, gay, lesbian and bi-sexual cast-members. Town Hall Pub (Chicago Reader’s Best Dive Bar) is an ideal venue for this fusion because it is located in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood and considered “a straight bar” by Boystown scenesters and “a gay bar” by Wrigleyville regulars.
